Message (Not a Nissan tech, but still one of those things that makes you wonder how they wound up working on cars). I went to a local tire shop to have MT-90 put in my tranny (didn't have a pump to put in new fluid)...since I know the managers very well. Well, they get this redneck guy to do the job for me...and I was planning on standing in the service bay to watch anyway...so here's how it goes: I pull the car up to lift and he puts in up in the air. I'm standing to the side of the car and he walks up under it examining where the plugs for the tranny are...except he's looking at the front of the engine bay, the splash shield specifically (I already know what he's thinking). I see him walk over to get a tool...comes back...and right before he begins to take the splash shield off...I inform him that he doesn't need to do that to get to the tranny. Then he says: "Oh, I thought this was a front-wheel drive car." I laugh nervously and continue to watch him like a hawk until the job is done.
